Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like how it quizzes you after each unit so you know what you need to work on. I also like how when you take the quizzes it lets you know what you missed so you can study. The instructor was pretty good at getting back to me also.

I am a licensed agent in FL what do I need to do to get a GA licese?

Asked by: matt34293
You have to complete an application for reciprocity license with the GA real estate commission. Then they will determine what additional education or testing you need to complete. Details are on this page of the GA commission website: http://www.grec.state.ga.us/grec/rereciprocity.html

Once I have my brokers license before the due date of my 36 hours continuing education for my sales license, do I still have to complete the 36 hours continuing education for my sales license at the four-year due date ?

Asked by: Gunter
Every licensee must complete 36 hours of continuing education to renew their license. The renewal cycle begins when a licensed is issued, so if you are issued a broker license, you will follow that renewal cycle, not the cycle of your previous salesperson license.

Hello, I am interested in obtaining my real estate license and therefore I have been reading up on the differences between an agent and a broker. Do I have to start off as an agent or can I take the courses to become a broker right away?

Asked by: Razz
All states require at least 2 years of sales agent experience before they can start their independent (broker) license journey. In GA, they actually require you complete 3 years as a sales agent before you can start your broker independent agent courses.

It varies among students. You have six months to complete your course. Some students take half that time and some take the whole time. It depends on how much time you have available and what pace you move at.

If you aren’t licensed in another state or possibly have real estate experience already, most states require that you take the educational hours and pass the license exam.

My question is that I do not have GED or High School education is there anyway around that in the State of Georgia?

Asked by: erika
For special circumstances that you are describing, the only way to get around that requirement would be to contact the state directly to see what other documentation they would allow or accept. We have provided their contact information below for added convenience. Phone: (404) 656-3916 http://www.grec.state.ga.us/
