The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) requires licensed real estate agents to complete 90 hours of post-licensing during the term of the license.

Salesperson Apprentice Education (SAE) - 90 Hrs: Fast Track Special

If you applied for your license on or after January 1, 2006 and have completed 210 hours of qualifying education or 150 hours of education and 60 hours of qualifying college credits:
This is the first renewal package containing the TREC approved courses that must be completed by new sales agent licensees who applied for their license on or after January 1, 2006, prior to the first renewal of their Texas real estate license. These courses are designed to teach the latest themes and topics in a user friendly format. Real Estate Finance course covers such subjects as the monetary systems, primary and secondary money markets, sources of mortgage loans, federal government programs, loan applications, processes and procedures, closing costs, alternative financial instruments, equal credit opportunity acts, community reinvestment act, and state housing agency. The Promulgated Contract Forms course covers such subjects as the unauthorized practice of law, broker-lawyer committee, current promulgated forms, commission rules governing use of forms, and case studies involving the use of forms

Licensed - Texas' sales agent apprentice education (SAE) Requirements

In order to fulfill Texas' real estate post licensing requirements you need to have a total of 270 hours of education by the second year of licensure. 180 hours must be completed within 1 year of the sales agents application filing date. 90 hours in qualifying real estate courses are need to be filed during the term of the license as a licensed sales agent.

These hours are known as SAE, or Sales Agent Apprentice Education. The 90 additional hours in qualifying real estate for the SAE must be submitted and on the TREC system by the end of the second year of licensure.

We recommend completing the course as soon as you are licensed so you are well versed in prospecting, listing presentations, sales contracts and the closing process.
