When does my completion certificate expire?

  • Alabama and Missouri: Six months
  • Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, and Kansas: One year
  • Florida, Montana, New York, and Washington: Two years
  • Arkansas, Michigan, and Oklahoma: Three Years
  • Illinois: Four years
  • South Carolina: Five years
  • Pennsylvania: Ten years
  • California, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Tennessee, Nevada, Virginia, and Texas: Never expire

Please keep in mind that the state agencies may give you a personal deadline to sit for the licensing exam before you are required to retake the material.
