How to renew a Real Estate License in California

Real estate agents need to renew their licenses at regular intervals as a requirement by the California Department of Real Estate. The process of renewing your real estate license in California is fairly simple and includes the following steps: 

01. Complete your California Real Estate CE Course.

The first step towards your California real estate license is completing the required state-approved California Continuing Education course. 

02. Complete your California real estate license renewal application.

Once you have completed your continuing education course and course exam, you need to go to the California Department of Real Estate website and update your course completion numbers.

03. Pay the California real estate license renewal fees.

Lastly, you need to pay the renewal fees to complete the renewal process.
