2020 Predictions

It’s a new year which means new predictions for what the future has in store for the real estate industry. In this article, RISMedia breaks down the various predictions from expert sources such as Freddie Mac, the National Association of REALTORS®, and realtor.com®. While the fear of recession has been on people’s minds, in general, the forecast looks optimistic with lack of inventory being one of the primary reasons why sales aren’t excepted to hit record numbers.

The Upcoming U.S. Census

The National Association of REALTORS® is encouraging its 1.4 million members to spread awareness and encourage participation in the 2020 census. Even though April 1st is National Census Day, households will be able to complete the survey starting in March. For the first time ever, the census survey can be completed online at 2020census.gov, or by phone or mail.
