California Association of Realtors says the San Francisco Bay Area is leading California’s real estate recovery. One reason for this is that there are fewer subprime loans in the Bay Area than in many harder hit areas of the country. The first week of October 2010 shows average listing prices up as much as 44% in some Bay Area housing markets.
