You go online and learn the sections at your own pace, whenever it's convenient for you. You must go through all the screens in each section to complete the course. At the end of each section you will be required to take and pass 50-question exam, and pass with a score of 80% before being allowed to go on to the next section of the course. But don't worry. The system is almost foolproof. And if you should score less than 80%, we'll give you another test, and the tools you need to pass.

IMPORTANT: If you have an arrest record, it is recommended that you submit the Alabama Real Estate Commission’s Application for Determination of Licensing Eligibility prior to taking the Alabama pre-license class to ensure your ability to be licensed. If you do not have an arrest record, you do not have to submit this application. STATE LAW BOOK: You will need a copy of the Alabama Real Estate License Law and the Alabama Real Estate Consumer Guide. These are only available from the Alabama Center for Real Estate (ACRE). TEST PROCTOR: The State of Alabama requires that the Final Exams for this course be Proctored.
Rule 790-x-1-.21, Item 10 states: In order to successfully complete the prelicense course, students must take and score a minimum of 70% on a proctored final examination administered in an educational facility by an approved instructor or by a qualified person who is not in the real estate business. Information about the proctor is included in your course materials. We must verify each proctor that is reported. If you do not have a proctor when you test, you will have to take the test again with a proctor present. Generally, public libraries do not charge to proctor exams, while most universities, colleges and learning centers will charge anywhere from $5 - $100. You are responsible for any proctoring fees associated with having your final exam proctored.
