	Stephen Mettling, CDEI – Steve is the Dean of Instruction and Curriculum for RealEstateExpress.com. He is also the instructor for our Tennessee continuing education students. Steve has authored over 75 real estate texts, books and training programs including Principles of Real Estate Practice which is used by RealEstateExpress.com. He has also directed real estate schools in 10 states in addition to helping build, acquire and manage the country’s largest real estate, securities and insurance licensing network. In addition to Steve’s work at RealEstateExpress.com, he runs his custom real estate training and development company. Steve’s role at RealEstateExpress.com includes overseeing the instructional staff, contributing to the support of the current course catalogue and giving insight and input to the development of new courses. Steve is devoted to his students’ success.

	Penny Alston, B.S., DREI, GRI – Penny is the Instructor for Pennsylvania and Florida. Penny is licensed as a sales associate and instructor in Florida and Utah. Her past work has included curriculum director for a prelicense school, exam writer and subject matter expert reviewer of national real estate exam content for Pearson Vue. Beyond her instructing duties for RealEstateExpress.com, Penny is also a faculty member for the Florida Association of Realtors® Institute. Penny pays great attention to the details of her students’ questions and comments as well as the courses she instructs for. She is continually giving feedback and input to make sure her answers are clearly communicated. Penny’s committed service to her students is apparent in every contact.

	David W. Deverman, GRI,CRS,CDEI, DREI,CREI,SOREP – Dave is the instructor for our Appraisal courses. He has been licensed in Real Estate since 1971. He is a Broker & Certified Residential Appraiser. He has worked as a salesperson, trainer, manager, Appraiser and Broker/Owner. His education background is a Bachelor degree in both Accounting & Secondary Education. His designations include GRI, CRS, DREI and SOREP (Society of Real Estate Professionals), USPAP Approved Instructor (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice). He has also served as President of the Grand Rapids Association of REALTORS in 1993 and was REALTOR of the Year for Grand Rapids in 1990. Dave believes in being involved in his profession. He has and currently serves on local, state and national committees. He has also served as adjunct faculty for both Grand Valley University and Grand Rapids Community College. He is currently an instructor for Michigan & Ohio Association of REALTORS. Dave actively lists, sells and appraises besides consulting with attorneys on both real estate and appraisal issues. His experience and education in taxation, 1031 exchanges and appraisals allows him to share real life with his students.

	Frank Holden, CDEI, LL.B./J.D., - Frank is the Instructor for Alabama and Georgia. Frank has been a REALTOR® for over 47 years. Frank received his LLB (Law) degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law in Atlanta, GA. In addition to his focus in real estate in the commercial market, Frank is an instructor for Georgia State University and for his own classroom courses at Holden Real Estate School. Frank has a talent for giving his students the information they need in “laymen’s terms”. His responses to the students’ inquiries are sure to be concise but thorough. Frank’s is never hesitant to convey his knowledge to the students so that they are successful within their courses.

	Marilyn Glazer, GRI, CRS, CRB, PMN, M.S.Ed – Marilyn is the Instructor for Illinois. Marilyn has remarkable credentials in real estate education as well as holding her real estate broker’s license in Illinois. Not only has Marilyn been an instructor for pre-licensing and continuing education in real estate, but she has also authored several continuing education courses that are used throughout the real estate industry today. Marilyn has an exceptional ability to help the students drill through extraneous information to fully understand the essence of what is being asked of them. Her skills at helping the students focus on the important subjects are essential to alleviating test taking anxieties that may cause a student to “cram” for all of the wrong info. Marilyn is dedicated to helping her students reach their full potential.

	Joe Whitaker, ABR, CRB, GRI – Joe is the Instructor for Kansas, Oklahoma and Virginia. Joe began his real estate career as a broker in Texas and Oklahoma. Joe has been an accomplished director of training and an instructor for various companies as well as the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission. He is also a past member of the Oklahoma Association of Realtors®/Oklahoma Real Estate Commission Education Task Force. With Joe’s broad training background he brings a variety or instructional techniques that serve his students well. He is able to communicate what the students should know in their prelicense coursework in addition to what will help them in their future careers. Joe is thorough in his interface with his students so that they are sure to understand what is expected of them.

	Joy Stanfill, CRS, GRI, e-PRO, RECS, CDEI – Joy is the Instructor for Missouri, Iowa, and Michigan. Joy has had a far-reaching career in real estate that includes over 20 years of teaching experience, including 8 years in Missouri. She is also a licensed broker in Missouri and Illinois. She has held a Sales Manager/Managing Broker position while concurrently serving the brokerage as the Director of Education. Joy has authored, marketed and delivered courses in various markets. Because of Joy's background in real estate education, she is well-equipped to understand the needs of her students and equally well prepared to offer practical guidance that will serve them well once they are licensed. Her licensing experience in many states uniquely qualifies Joy to offer a broad range of experience to her students. This enables Joy to help direct the students studying efforts should they become overwhelmed with the material presented to them. Her pledge to the success of each student is apparent with every interaction.

	Bill Wilkis, CDEI, ABR, ABRM, CNE, CRS, GRI, MHV, PHC, SRES, e-Pro – Bill is the instructor for California, Washington, and Nevada. Bill has been licensed in Nevada since 1989. In addition to his vast experience as a licensed broker and a licensed instructor, Bill has also been a member and/or chair of various professional development committees with the Nevada Association of REALTORS® and the Reno/Sparks Association of REALTORS®. In addition to his instructional role at RealEstateExpress.com, Bill continues to instruct for both Associations as well. Bill works hard to understand the students’ perspectives so that he can fully answer their questions and offer clarification. He keeps himself abreast of any pertinent law changes affecting the states he instructs in so that he has the most up-to-date information at his disposal. Bill is steadfast in helping his students achieve the most of their courses.

	Janene Bettin – Janene is our instructor for Colorado. She has been a real estate broker in Colorado for over 30 years and continues to list and sell real estate. Janene has taught the CRS and CRB classes for RNMI and is a real estate education instructor for Colorado Association of Realtors, Security Title Co., and an area proprietary school. She holds the ABR, ASR, CNE, CRB, CRS, GRI, and SRES designations. Janene is a graduate of Texas A & M University (Kingsville, TX) and taught high school speech, drama and English for ten years. Janene has been active in the local, state and national Realtor organizations having served as president of South Metro Denver Realtor Association, Vice President of Education for the Colorado Association of Realtors, Co-Chairman of the RNMI publication “Real Estate Business” and as a member of the Board of Governors for the RB and RS Councils. Janene has received the Omega Tau Rho Medallion of Service which is a National Association of Realtors award for leadership at the local, state and national level. She has received the Distinguished Service Award from South Metro Denver Realtor Association.

	Richard Linkemer, DREI, CDEI – Rich is the founder of The American School Of Real Estate, founded in 1989 and serving the Real Estate community in a number of states with dynamic, powerful real estate license, post-license and Continuous Education training. Rich is also co-founder of RealEstateExpress.com. Additionally, Rich is the instructor for our Tennessee affiliate broker students. Rich has a Bachelor's Degree of Education from the University of Illinois, has been voted the best guest instructor in a number of states, and has propelled his students to achieve one of the highest pass-rates in the industry. Rich held the position of Regional Vice President of the Real Estate Educators Association and he served as the President of Mid-America Real Estate Educators Association and is one of approximately 125 educators in the country holding the prestigious designation of Distinguished Real Estate Instructor - "DREI" . Rich has earned the designations of, "Senior Real Estate Specialist", "Consumer-Certified Real Estate Consultant", "Certified Distance Education Instructor" as well as being named Educator Of The Year in 2003 by the St. Charles County Association of Realtors®

	Geoff Thompson – Geoff has been involved in real estate since 1975, both in the commercial and residential disciplines. He has been teaching for over 25 years, is co-founder of RealEstateExpress.com, and is author/editor of a number of popular continuing education courses. Geoff has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, and a Master's degree from the Graduate Business School of Webster University. Geoff "Liam' Thompson has been empowering people and organizations for over 3 decades.
